A new beginning

2013 has arrived and if you are alive to read this health pearl, you are blessed! The new year is customarily accompanied by new years resolutions. 45% of American make them. The number one resolution is to lose weight. In fact, of the top 10 resolutions made, 4 are health related. But, the sad fact is that only 8% keep their resolutions for 1 year, according to the University of Scranton, Journal of Clinical Psychology, published: 12/13/2012. I’d like to share with you the one resolution that is most important. Making sure you are in tune with God. A little over 7 years ago, I got too busy to have my private morning time with God. Yes, I prayed prior to rushing out of the house. For three days this continued by the third day I was saying and doing things I never dreamed I would. I was so shaken by my behavior that I promised God that if He would forgive me and clean up the mess I had made, I would never miss another morning with Him. And 7 years later God has been faithful. So let’s get our priorities straight in 2013 and put first things first; our relationship with Jesus! Remember Matt. 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Do this and the other resolutions will become a reality!
