Alcohol awareness month

April is Alcohol Awareness Month. This invention of the devil is destroying millions of homes, relationships, jobs, and lives each year. In the United States alcohol is attributed to over 100,000 deaths. 5% of all deaths from diseases of the circulatory system; 15% of all deaths from diseases of the respiratory system; 30% of all deaths from accidents caused by fire; 30% of all accidental drownings; 30% of all suicides; 40% of all deaths due to accidental falls; 45% of all deaths in automobile accidents; and 60% of all homicides are attributed to alcohol. (Sources: NIDA Report, the Scientific American and Addiction Research Foundation of Ontario.) No wonder the Scriptures emphatically states, “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” (Proverbs 20:1) And please don’t fall for the propoganda that wine is good for the heart or stomach. Ingested alcohol in all forms, poisons nerve cells, stomach mucosal (lining) cells and liver cells! It’s the grapes that are beneficial! So “be wise” and totally avoid all alcoholic beverages! It may save your life, physically as well as spiritually.
