Lifestyle & Type 2 Diabetes!

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Gal.6:7) “Diet and exercise programs for people at high risk for developing diabetes, when followed for six years, can actually delay the development of diabetes for 14 years after the programs end, a new report finds. The report is published in the May 24 special diabetes issue of The Lancet.” Those in the diet and exercise group had a 43% lower incident of developing diabetes over the next 20 years than those who did not exercise or change their diets. So if you have a family history of diabetes and your weight is higher than it should be, then you must be more active and follow a prudent weight reducing diet. “Overeating is especially harmful to those who are sluggish in temperament; these should eat sparingly, and take plenty of physical exercise. There are men and women of excellent natural ability who do not accomplish half what they might if they would exercise self-control in the denial of appetite.” (MH 308)
