Are You Eating Healthy Snacks?

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12)

How would you answer this question? If you think you are eating healthy snacks you are wrong! Any foods eaten between meals is not healthy unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Regularity in eating should be carefully observed. Nothing should be eaten between meals, no confectionery, nuts, fruits, or food of any kind.” (MH 386) “I am astonished to learn that, after all the light that has been given in this place, many of you eat between meals! You should never let a morsel pass your lips between your regular meals. Eat what you ought, but eat it at one meal, and then wait until the next.

(CD 180) Obesity, gastroesophageal reflux, and many other digestive problems would be resolved if this practice was abandoned. Many eat between meals because they say they are hungry; but most are dehydrated, and drinking adequate water would relieve this feeling. If this does not work, then increase the amount of food eaten at meal time so that there is no need for any foods between meals. So why not try it, for better health.
