Breakfast is Important!

1 Kings 17:6, “And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.” “It is the custom and order of society to take a slight breakfast…. The habit of eating a sparing breakfast and a large dinner is wrong. Make your breakfast correspond more nearly to the heartiest meal of the day.”

(CG 390.2) Inspiration teaches us to eat a large breakfast daily, but society speaks otherwise. In a recent article in the July 22, 2012 issue of the journal Circulation, it was reported that men who missed breakfast had a 27% higher incidence of heart disease; at 15% higher incidence for substantial weight gain and a 21% higher risk for developing type 2 diabetes mellitus. So start your day with a substantial breakfast for better health. Remember, God knows what is best!
