There is a time of life in women when one can be hot, even when its cold. Menopausal symptoms, I’m told for I am a man, are disturbing and uncomfortable and may be an omen to even more serious health issues. “Recent studies have linked the menopause symptom of hot flashes to an increased risk of heart disease as well as increased cholesterol. Researchers found that the more hot flashes a woman had, the higher her LDL “bad” cholesterol.” So watch the fatty foods, get regular exercise, eat more soy and have regular checkups to reduce hot flashes, reduce LDL cholesterol and to help avert this dangerous condition.
