Milk has been advertised as the “perfect food,” and for babies the mother’s milk is just that. For calves, its mother’s milk in also “perfect.” But what about cow’s milk for humans? In the book and subsequent dvd, “Forks Over Knives” world renowned nutritionist Dr. T. Colin Campbell, relates how in laboratory animals cancer can be turned on and turned off but increasing and decreasing the amount of milk protein given. In his landmark book, The China Study, he relates how regions in China that consumed the highest amounts of animal based food, had the highest incidence of cancer and those that consumed the highest amounts of plant based foods had the lowest incidence of cancer. This has been reproduced in the Adventist Health Studies I and II. Inspiration tell us, “The diet reform should be progressive. As disease in animals increases, the use of milk and eggs will become more and more unsafe. An effort should be made to supply their place with other things that are healthful and inexpensive. The people every here should be taught how to cook without milk and eggs so far as possible, and yet have their food wholesome and palatable.” (CD 469) God had it right from the beginning, of course! So why not stop fighting the facts and follow a good plant based diet for your health.
