For several years health professionals have been touting the benefits of 5-6 small meals instead of the traditional 2-3 larger meals for weight loss and health. This is a dilemma for non-Bible believing persons; but for those who know that the Word of God is the basis for all truth this is not an issue. Because 1 Kings 17:6 states, “And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.” When God fed Elijah the birds did not come 5-6 times a day, only twice. In Exodus 16:8, when the children of Israel murmured for flesh the Bible states, “And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.” Again God provides for 2 meals a day. The Divinely inspired commentary tells us, “At least five or six hours should intervene between the meals, and most persons who give the plan a trial will find that two meals a day are better than three.
